Description

The Bell Tone Synth Works “Bender Perfecter” pitch bend symmetry mod for the vintage Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 and 10 and Moog Memorymoog and Memorymoog Plus allows you to trim the haphazard, asymmetrical intervals yielded by your synth’s pitch bend wheel to instead be a perfect, symmetrical interval up and down.

Typically, we trim Prophets to plus and minus a perfect fifth and Memorymoogs to plus and minus a perfect octave at the maximum bend depth, but you can also trim your bender to a smaller interval (e.g. a major second/whole step, major third, etc) if you prefer.

The mod installation is simple and only requires soldering a total of 4 wires to the pitch bend and modulation wheel pots; some Prophet 10s will also require one resistor in the synth to be changed, which will be provided.

If you have a Prophet 5, it will need different hardware depending on whether or not it has a MIDI kit with a circuit board that is mounted on the bender wheel brackets. Check this before you order and choose the appropriate variant from the dropdown menu. If yours has a MIDI board mounted there choose “Prophet 5 with MIDI.” If t has no MIDI board or the MIDI board is mounted elsewhere, choose “Prophet 5 without MIDI.”

When you purchase the Bender Perfecter, you will receive the board populated, with necessary mounting hardware.
