The ARP "Solina" String Ensemble is well known as one of the most dreamy and ethereal string synths! After ARP licensed the design from the Dutch company Eminent, it became more popular than either of them probably ever expected, becoming probably the most iconic string machine of the 70s. Its swirly sound will probably sound familiar to anyone who listens to a lot of music from that era!

This unit has had its electronics thoroughly overhauled but its exterior does look somewhat weird as the result of an attempt by a past owner to "refinish" it with gel stain, which we have since removed.

CONDITION / SERVICE DETAILS

  • Rebuilt power supply
  • Replaced faulty capacitors
  • Serviced and cleaned key contacts
  • Replaced envelope capacitors for both bass and upper registers
