The ARP Odyssey is a classic duophonic synth that excels at creating bright, cutting tones that can often slot into a mix more easily than something like a Moog, and offers  lot of fun modulation options in a small space. The final, Mark III version also has gate and CV ins and outs and ARP's unusual "PPC pads" that you squish for pitch bending and expression!

CONDITION / SERVICE DETAILS

We believe in transparency when selling “pro serviced” synths so always include documentation of what services every synth we sell has received. Our approach to servicing vintage instruments entails both making sure every synth is working 100% now, and eliminating common failure points to preempt future issues.

This unit received the following services while it was here with us:

  • Power supply rebuilt with new capacitors, rectifiers and regulators
  • All tantalum capacitors replaced throughout
  • Replaced all sliders with our house-made adaptor assemblies using Bourns Pro Audio series sliders
  • Rebuilt Pratt Read keyboard: leveled, replaced bushings, cleaned contacts and bus bars
  • Rebuilt PPC pads with new force sensing resistors
  • Tuned and calibrated to ARP specifications
